Bathroom/Wet Room Fitter – Fareham
 
Location: Fareham Borough Council

Hours: 40 hours/week

Salary: £37,320 + Company Vehicle

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Bathroom/Wet Room Fitter to join our team working on the Fareham Borough Council contract. This role covers maintenance and improvements to void and occupied properties, with occasional responsive repairs.
 
You’ll need to be a qualified plumber (NVQ Level 2 or above), with solid experience in bathroom and wet room installs – ideally in social housing. You should also be confident in at least 2 or 3 other trades like carpentry, tiling, plastering, decorating, flooring, or glazing.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Install and refurbish bathrooms and wet rooms
• Diagnose and fix general plumbing and maintenance issues
• Support the wider team across various trades
• Keep records of work and update the helpdesk
• Ensure high standards of health & safety
• Maintain tools, van, and a professional attitude

What we’re looking for:

• Good experience in property maintenance (2–5 years)
• A practical, problem-solving mindset
• Clear communicator – both with tenants and the team
• Ability to manage your own workload
• Enhanced DBS (required)

You’ll need:

• NVQ Level 2/3 in plumbing
• A full UK driving licence
• Your own tools and a CSCS card (ideal)
• Experience in 3 or more of the following: carpentry, tiling, flooring, glazing, plastering, decorating, brickwork, groundworks
