Coating supervisor – Barrow in Furness

SLR are looking for an experienced Coatings Supervisor to lead and manage the application of coatings, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and quality standards.

Rate: £30/hr (Flat)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead Industrial painters/ Blasters, ensuring work meets project specs and quality standards.
• Oversee daily operations, conduct shift briefings, and manage permits and safety requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with HSEQ standards, industry specs, and project guidelines.
• Ensure materials are properly handled, stored, and traceable.
• Conduct pre-work surveys and liaise with clients for ongoing progress and reporting.
• Maintain the smooth operation of coating and surface preparation processes, ensuring the proper use of equipment.
• Prepare daily reports and communicate progress, concerns, and non-conformances to the Paint Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Supervisor experience across multiple projects is key.
• Marine experience is preferred, but an industrial background will also be considered.
• SSSTS or TTP Supervisor qualification is a plus, but not a dealbreaker.
