Location: Windsor Castle
Hours: 42.5 per week (some weekend/on-call work)
Salary: £34,776.47

SLR Local Recruitment is proud to be working with a large local employer who care about their employees and are looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to assist in providing building maintenance services across the iconic Windsor Estate – from the Castle itself to Frogmore House, Hampton Court Mews, and more. With a variety of listed and historic buildings, no two days are the same.
 
You would need a positive, can-do attitude and a strong focus on quality and customer service. You’ll be handling everything from emulsion and gloss painting to wallpapering and decorative finishes across residential and commercial properties.
 
What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out a variety of painting and decorating tasks (incl. wallpapering, gloss work, emulsion, and prep).
• Working in occupied homes and heritage buildings.
• Making sure all work is tidy, professional, and to the highest standard.
• Keeping tools and your company vehicle in great condition.
• Communicating clearly with customers, colleagues, and managers.
• Responding quickly to maintenance issues, including emergency call-outs.
• Supporting the wider team with a proactive and helpful approach.

What You’ll Need

• At least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance or similar role.
• Time-served qualification in Painting & Decorating.
• Experience working on historic or listed buildings (a bonus).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work at height and occasional weekends.
• SC clearance eligibility (required).
• PASMA ticket (preferred, or willing to train).
