We are looking for a skilled and reliable Working Foreman (Carpenter/Multi-Trade) to join our Isle of Wight team.

We work with the Isle of Wight Council, Vectis Housing, the RNLI, and others to carry out day-to-day repairs, maintenance and quoted works.

You’ll be carrying out a range of carpentry repairs (including fire doors, kitchens, and first/second fix work) as well as some tiling, minor plumbing, and decorative tasks. As foreman, you’ll also help manage small works on-site, check quality and health & safety, and support the team with planning and materials.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years in the trade, ideally with residential repair/project experience
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry
  • Skilled in at least two additional trades
  • Fire door fitting knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence
  • DBS and police vetting (required)

A bit about you:

You’re hands-on, well-organised, and great with people. You know your way around a tablet or PDA, can manage your own time, and have a practical, safety-first approach to work. Some experience with MS Office and Outlook is a plus.
You’ll be part of a supportive team that values doing things right – even when no one’s looking.

Interested? Apply now and help us keep homes and buildings across the Island safe and well-maintained.
