Sarah Roads – Founder / CEO

In 2017, I decided it was time to take full responsibility of my own business decisions after working for other people within recruitment for 12 years, being a Mum to two busy boys, I wanted to create a business that allowed me to work around my family commitments as well.

SLR specialise in supplying contractors within the Marine and Industrial sectors which is where my passion for recruiting lies.

Now with a team of experienced and grass root recruiters trained in house we have dedicated permanent recruitment consultants who thrive on white collar roles within the Marine sector.

Tatum Isaacs – Operations Manager

I'm the Operations Manager here at SLR, where I get to do what I love, building genuine relationships and helping people grow. I'm big on networking, making things happen, and watching our team develop into 10/10 consultants. 

Born and bred in Pompey, i'm passionate about supporting the local community and making a real difference, both in and out of the office. 

Sophie Groves – Recruitment Consultant

I’m passionate about connecting the right trades with the right clients and take pride in delivering great results. Building strong relationships and finding the perfect fit is what drives me every day.

I enjoy having conversations with candidates and learning about different trades. I thrive on spending time getting to know everyone and when we get you placed and give you the good news, it’s a massive high.

I’m a married mum of 2 fantastic children, we moved from Gloucester down to Portsmouth following my husband’s career in the navy. I have got very good at juggling a busy schedule and still manage to achieve my goals. Recruitment is now LIFE and I can't wait to build it and watch it grow!

Jodie Alden – Recruiter

With a background in International Cabin Crew and Account Management, I was drawn to a role that offered flexibility and the chance to shape my own path.

The rapid expansion of the business led to a need for admin and HR management which is where I came in. I support SLR to ensure compliance around employment law and streamlining systems and processes. I am thrilled to be part of the team and proud of how far SLR has come.

Hannah Payne - Cook – Payroll

After covid, I did not want to return to my full-time corporate role and fortunately Sarah needed support for a business that complimented SLR.
