Sarah, our founder and director, embodies the essence of leadership and empowerment. Driven, knowledgeable, and selfless, she inspires us to strive for excellence in everything we do. With her entrepreneurial spirit and kind heart, Sarah leads by example, guiding us to uphold the highest ethical standards with integrity and honesty.

We are immensely grateful for Sarah’s leadership and unwavering dedication. Fondly known as the “hummus queen”, Sarah’s infectious energy lights up our office every day.

Sarah Roads – Founder / CEO

Eight years ago, I decided it’s time to take full responsibility of my own business decisions after working for other people within recruitment for 12 years, being a Mum to two busy boys, I wanted to create a business that allowed me to work around my family commitments as well.

SLR specialise in supplying contractors within the Marine and Industrial sectors which is where my passion for recruiting lies.

Now with a team of experienced and grass root recruiters trained in house we have dedicated permanent recruitment consultants who thrive on white collar roles within the Marine sector.

Tatum Isaacs – Account Manager

I joined SLR 18 months ago and to say I've found my niche is an understatement.

I was a hairdresser for 20 years so it’s a completely different industry but the experience I have gained from my hairdressing years have given me the skills needed to thrive in this job.

I love networking and being in a client facing role, it is where I shine so being an account manager is perfect for me.

Working for SLR has given me so much room to grow, I’m excited to see where the next year takes me on my evolving SLR journey.

Sophie Groves – Recruitment Resourcer

I'm new to recruitment but that hasn't stopped me from achieving fantastic results already! Placing the right trades with the right clients has become my passion and newfound talent.

I enjoy having conversations with candidates and learning about different trades, I thrive spending time getting to know everyone and when we get you placed and give you the good news it’s a massive high.

I’m a married mum of 2 fantastic children, we moved from Gloucester down to Portsmouth following my husband’s career in the navy. I have got very good at juggling a busy schedule and still manage to achieve my goals.Recruitment is now LIFE and I can't wait to build it and watch it grow!

Having recently joined SLR in March this year, I’m finding my feet in the everchanging world of recruitment. Previously, my background in both Sales & Customer Service & have been International long haul Cabin Crew.

Coming to SLR, I was looking to find a work place I could build a career for myself, however, what I unexpectantly found is an empowering & uplifting work environment where for the first time in my working life, I truly feel that I can grow whilst being challenged & supported to achieve my big goals.
