Skilled Labourer – Adhoc Work (Marine Environment)
 
SLR are pleased to be supporting our marine client during their busy project periods and are currently looking to recruit Skilled Labourers local to Falmouth Shipyard to join the team on an adhoc basis.
This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, physically fit and available to support during peak operational periods.
 
Location: Falmouth Shipyard, Cornwall
Rate: £18.00 per hour
Duration: Adhoc hours/days as required during busy project periods
Start Date: ASAP
 
Role Overview
As a Skilled Labourer, you will support on-site operations within the shipyard, assisting with the safe movement, handling and installation support of flooring panels and other materials while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Moving, lifting and shifting flooring panels and materials
• Assisting with general labouring duties across the site
• Supporting loading, unloading and safe handling of materials
• Maintaining site cleanliness and safe working areas
• Following site health & safety procedures at all times
• Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Requirements

• Previous labouring or semi-skilled site experience
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
• Good understanding of health & safety on construction or industrial sites
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to support adhoc shifts when required
