We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter Multi to join our growing team delivering responsive maintenance and void property works for a local authority contract in Woking. This is a permanent role offering a great opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and professional environment.
The role includes both standard working hours and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and carry out repairs across carpentry and associated trades
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship that consistently meets industry standards
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency maintenance situations
  • Complete tasks efficiently and cost-effectively, minimising downtime
  • Follow all Health & Safety regulations, including the use of PPE, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Work flexibly, including out-of-hours when required
Skills Required
  • Installation and repair of mortice locks, latch sets, and multipoint locking systems
  • Door hanging, lining, and rebated framework installation
  • Ability to gain entry and secure properties where necessary
  • Kitchen installation, including mitred worktop joints
  • Confident use of mobile devices (phone/PDA) for clear and effective communication
Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience in fabrication, structural repairs, and framework remodelling
  • Knowledge of fire door installation
  • Minimum 3 years’ trade experience, ideally within residential maintenance
  • Strong understanding of residential building regulations
  • Proven experience in kitchen installations (1st and 2nd fix), ideally 5+ years
  • Laminate fitting experience (desirable)
Qualifications
 
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (or equivalent)
  • Competency in at least two additional secondary trades
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • DBS check required prior to employment
