In this role, you will provide general labour support for responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council’s (PCC) Housing and Corporate Assets stock, and from time to time support other maintenance contracts as required when demand requires.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Work alongside Groundworkers in the undertaking a variety of repairs such as fencing, drainage, concrete repairs and paving.
– Work alongside Roofers in the undertaking of pitched and flat roof repairs.
– Assist tradespersons with general labouring requirements where needed.
– Clearing and collecting waste materials by transporting them to a waste transfer station.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
– Be able to demonstrate you are a competent Labourer with a reasonable understanding of construction methods and materials used.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
– CSCS card (preferred)
– A DBS check is required before commencement of role
EXPERIENCE
– 2 – 5 yrs. experience working as a labourer within the construction industry.
