The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Contract Manager to support the delivery of responsive maintenance and planned works contracts in Woking. You’ll work closely with the Contract Manager to keep operations running smoothly, meet client expectations, and drive performance across the board.
This is a hands-on role, including participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
What You’ll Be Doing
Relevant industry experience is essential. A qualification in Construction/Building (HNC or above) is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one.

The Role

What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and supporting teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Helping drive contract performance, profitability, and service delivery
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing improvements where needed
- Ensuring health & safety standards are always met
- Handling planned works, disrepairs, and customer queries efficiently
- Building strong relationships with clients
- Quoting and managing minor works projects
- Identifying trends and opportunities to improve services and processes
- 5+ years’ experience in Maintenance or Facilities Management
- Previous exposure to contract management (a bonus)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Good understanding of construction/maintenance methods and materials
- Confident using MS Office and job management systems
