Electrician – Woking

Salary: £41,200 | Full-time, Permanent
We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Electrician to join our team. You’ll be working on behalf of Woking Borough Council, carrying out responsive maintenance and repairs in domestic properties, including participation in a call-out rota.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Electrical testing and inspections
• Fault finding and reactive repairs
• Domestic rewiring
• Installing electrics in kitchens, bathrooms, and heating systems

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in domestic and commercial electrical work (2-5 years, ideally in social housing or maintenance)
• Confident communicator, able to deal professionally with tenants
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good understanding of health & safety and best practice
• Organised, self-motivated, and a team player

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds 2382 (17th Edition) – essential
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent) – essential
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition knowledge (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• DBS check required
