Portsmouth | Full-Time | £32,000-£35,000 DOE
 
SLR are looking for an experienced General Cargo Coordinator to join an established Distribution & Planning Team.
This is a warehouse and office-based role, acting as the main point of contact for customers, hauliers, and internal teams, managing bookings, coordinating general cargo operations, and overseeing customs processes for the External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF).
 
What you’ll do:

• Handle bookings, queries, and customs documentation
• Update internal and external IT systems accurately
• Coordinate import/export processes and stock control
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
• Support warehouse operations when required

What we’re looking for:

• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, logistics systems)
• Knowledge of customs, ETSF, and container load planning
• Experience in stock control and reconciliation
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Full UK driving licence required
• Willingness to complete a forklift licence with our in-house trainers

Details:
–  Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
–  Occasional weekend work may be required in future (none currently)
–  Salary: £32,000-£35,000 DOE
