Marine Electrician

Our client is a ship repair and refit company based in Southampton who are looking for an experienced Marine or Industrial Electrician.
 
Experienced in fault finding, maintenance, installation.
– Ideally with a shipping background or an industrial background. Someone with a ticket for testing and inspection would be good too.
 
Experience with generator/ motor repairs and overhauls, or winding them.
 
Must be able to work with your own initiative, some time working away might be possible. Allowances for this will be supplied.
 
A full drivers license is a MUST as you will be required to travel between units. and potential call outs.
 
 
 
Staff, Rates and Benefits
 
Basic: £19.67
T/half: £29.50
Double time: £39.34
 
Call out rota available for additional pay but optional
 
Further Details and Benefits

• 8-4 basic working day
• 37.5hrs per week basic
• T/half and double time paid for overtime
• Regular overtime available ( I would say 50-60 hrs average per month )
• 25 days holiday start increases with time served
• Average holiday pay
• Basic training (first aid, Mewp, asbestos awareness, abrasive wheel etc)
• Further technical training available

Company vans are assigned to certain individuals not everyone depending on what you bring to the company and how much out of hours/ call out your doing.
 
A probation period of 3 months will be in place before job is secure.
