Marine Mechanical Fitter & Marine Welder

SLR Recruitment are working on a large ferry refit for our long term client based in Poole Dorset! 
 
Our Marine based client we’ve worked with many times over the years have a large scale project working on the Sandbanks chain ferry refit. We’re looking for an experienced Marine Mechanical Fitter and a Flux core welder to join the team! 
 
Start date: Monday 2nd November 2026 
End date: Monday 7th December 2026
 
Scope: 6 days per week (rotating so you have a day off during the weekend every other week).
            10 hour days on average (sometimes 12 hours when possible)
 
Start time: 7am 
 
Requirements: Mechanical Fitter: Ideally Marine based previous experience on similar vessels/refits
                         Welder: FCAW experience ideally on refits/fit outs/ vessels/marine based
 
Rates: £23 per hour for all hours worked
