Multi-Skilled Fitter – Isle of Wight

Our company works with Isle of Wight Council, Vectis Housing, Wetherspoons, RNLI and other clients to deliver repairs and planned maintenance across domestic and commercial properties on the Island.
We’re looking for an experienced, multi-skilled fitter to join our friendly team. You’ll need a flexible, can-do attitude, pride in your work and a professional approach when dealing with customers.

Our company works with Isle of Wight Council, Vectis Housing, Wetherspoons, RNLI and other clients to deliver repairs and planned maintenance across domestic and commercial properties on the Island.
We’re looking for an experienced, multi-skilled fitter to join our friendly team. You’ll need a flexible, can-do attitude, pride in your work and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance in homes and commercial buildings
- Full kitchen, bathroom and wet-room refurbishments (including plumbing, carpentry, tiling and finishing)
- Multi-trade repairs across carpentry and plumbing
- Fire door installations and remedial works
- Using a PDA to log work, materials and photos
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting colleagues and taking part in the out-of-hours rota when needed
- NVQ Level 2-3 in Carpentry or Plumbing (or equivalent)
- At least 7 years’ trade experience
- Strong background in kitchen and bathroom installations
- Confident with press-fit systems, pipe freezing kits and rainwater goods
- Proven multi-trade skills across plumbing and carpentry
- Comfortable working in occupied properties and customer-facing environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS required
