Multi-skilled Plumber – Isle of Wight

Salary: £35,092.10

Hours: Full-time, 40hrs/week

Location: Island-wide

Reports to: Supervisor
 
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Plumber to join our team supporting a range of clients including Isle of Wight Council, Vectis Housing, RNLI, and Wetherspoons. This role involves a mix of planned maintenance and reactive repairs across domestic and commercial properties around the island.
 
What you’ll do:

• Handle plumbing repairs and installations in occupied and unoccupied buildings
• Work on bathroom refurbs, commercial plumbing, tiling, and some light carpentry
• Support across trades and respond to emergency repairs when needed
• Keep accurate records using a PDA and maintain high standards of safety and quality
• Take part in our out-of-hours rota and keep your van clean and ready

What we’re looking for:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
• At least 7 years’ experience in plumbing, including bathroom installs
• Good all-round maintenance knowledge, especially tiling and minor carpentry
• Comfortable with tools like pipe freezers and press guns
• Confident communicating with clients and residents
• Full driving licence and a clean enhanced DBS (we’ll arrange the check)
