Location: Woking

Hours: 40 per week

Salary: £45,000

Reporting to: Contract Manager
 
We’re looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Woking team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll oversee building repairs and maintenance works, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
 
What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out building surveys and diagnosing issues, especially damp, mould, and disrepair
• Identifying root causes and specifying effective remedial works
• Managing small projects from survey through to completion
• Supervising contractors and operatives to ensure quality and compliance
• Supporting recruitment, induction, and performance of team members
• Promoting strong health & safety practices and carrying out investigations where needed
• Acting as a key point of contact for technical queries and escalating issues when required
• Treating tenants with respect and delivering a high level of customer service

What we’re looking for

• Solid experience in building surveying, defect diagnosis, and property maintenance
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations
• Proven ability to manage repair or refurbishment projects end-to-end
• Confident communicator with good organisational and reporting skills
• Experience working in social housing or occupied properties (desirable)
• Ability to lead, support and motivate a team

Qualifications & Experience

• HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4+ in Construction (minimum)
• Ideally degree-qualified with RICS/CIOB membership and PCA certification
• Full UK driving licence
• Around 5+ years’ experience in building maintenance, with some commercial experience preferred
